Mustered in as a Private in Company E the same day he enlisted. Discharged at Charleston, South Carolina at the expiration of his term of service. Joined Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington on 6 May 1911. A Delegate to the 1914 Encampment of the Department of Washington and Alaska. Died in Tacoma, Washington. His death certificate indicates he was born in Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine contradicting his military records.
