Born in Sweden. Andrew Peterson, a resident of Washington County, Minnesota, enlisted on 4/29/1861 in the 1st Minnesota Infantry for three years at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Mustered in as a Private in Company B the same day he enlisted. In Aug 1861 it was reported he was in a hospital at Annapolis, Maryland. Discharged for disability on 11/24/1861. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Died in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
