Discharged on a Surgeon's certificate of disability at York, Pennsylvania. Served under the name "Byron A. McArthur". A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Elected by the Post as an Alternate to the 1896, 1897, 1916, and 1917 Encampments of the Department of Washington and Alaska. Died in Tacoma, Washington.
