Joined Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington on 15 Jan 1910 by transfer from Lucius Fairchild Post No. 11 of Madison, Wisconsin. Admitted to the Washington State Veterans Home at Retsil, Kitsap County, Washington on 19 Apr 1915. Died in Tacoma, Washington. Pension records spell his first name as "Anton", some military records spell it "Anthon", his death certificate and cemetery records spell it "Antone", and his headstone spells it "Anthony". His headstone indicates he was born in 1846, contradicting his Veterans Home application and death certificate.
