Born in Pennsylvania. Enlisted in the 1st Minnesota Heavy Artillery for three years at St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. Mustered in as a Private in Company E at St. Paul, Minnesota on 31 Jan 1865. Discharged with his Company. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Admitted to the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers at Hot Springs, Fall River County, South Dakota on 25 Feb 1910. Died in Little Falls, Morrison County, Minnesota.
