Transferred to Company A, 189th Ohio Infantry on 12 Jul 1865. Mustered out with his Company at Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Admitted to the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers at Sawtelle, Los Angeles County, California on 8 Nov 1897 and discharged at his own request on 20 Apr 1898. Re-admitted on 14 Nov 1898 and discharged on 21 Apr 1901 for transfer to the Central Branch. Admitted to the National Home at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio on 21 Apr 1901 and discharged on 14 Sep 1901. Re-admitted on 8 Nov 1901 and discharged on 2 Oct 1902 for transfer to the Northwestern Branch. Admitted to the National Home at Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin on 2 Oct 1902 where he died.
