A resident of Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana when he re-enlisted in the 75th Indiana Infantry at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana on 7 Oct 1864. Mustered in as a Private in Company I on 8 Oct 1864. Transferred to Company I, 42nd Indiana Infantry on 5 Jun 1865. Mustered out at Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky on 21 Jul 1865. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington by at least 1907. Suspended on 19 Nov 1910 and having paid all obligations was reinstated on 16 Sep 1911. Admitted to the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers at Sawtelle, Los Angeles County, California on 9 Dec 1914 where he died. Most records spell his last name as "Booth" while his headstone and other records spell his last name as "Boothe".
