Died in Milton, Pierce County, Washington. He is buried in a G.A.R. section of the cemetery. His application for admission to the Washington State Soldiers Home lists his date of birth as 17 Jan 1836, while his death certificate lists 14 Jan 1836. His military service records spell his last name as "Noaks".
