Re-enlisted as an Ordnance Sergeant in the Ordnance Department, U.S. Army for three years at Washington, DC on 26 Jul 1864. Discharged as an Ordnance Sergeant. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Died in Tacoma, Washington. He is buried in a G.A.R. section of the cemetery.
