Discharged for disability at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana on 19 Sep 1862. Enrolled in Company B of the 137th Indiana Infantry for 100 days at North Vernon, Jennings County, Indiana on 3 May 1864. Discharged with his Company as 1st Sergeant at Indianapolis, Indiana on 21 Sep 1864. A resident of North Vernon, Indiana when he enrolled in Company I of the 140th Indiana Infantry for one year at Indianapolis, Indiana on 25 Oct 1864. Died in a hotel at Steilacoom, Pierce County, Washington.
